Dr. Igor Kowal

Dr. Igor Kowal is a Licensed Clinical and Sport Psychologist who is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and reach their full potential. He earned his Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from the California State University, Fresno, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Kowal specializes in psychological assessment and sport and performance psychology.

In his assessment work, Dr. Kowal takes a collaborative and thoughtful approach to understanding each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. His goal is to provide clarity around concerns that may be affecting everyday life and to offer practical, individualized recommendations for treatment and support. He believes that a comprehensive assessment can
help clients and their families better understand what they are experiencing and feel more confident about the path forward.

In his sport and performance psychology work, Dr. Kowal is committed to supporting both the mental well-being and performance of athletes and performers. He understands that performing at a high level can bring unique pressures and challenges, and he works collaboratively with clients to identify areas that may be getting in the way of their well-being or performance. Through a supportive and individualized approach, he helps clients develop effective coping strategies and mental skills to strengthen resilience, enhance performance, and improve their overall quality of life.

Across his work, Dr. Kowal strives to create a welcoming, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. He believes that meaningful
progress begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and works alongside each client to help them move toward greater understanding, confidence, and well-being.
