Lisa Gibson is a Registered Dietitian with over a decade of experience working with individuals to enhance their overall health. She incorporates a value-based approach to work towards a balanced relationship with food, exercise, and body image. She has devoted her career to working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, and the specialized needs of athletes. Lisa has spent the past 12 years working in private practice and recently joined the Eating Recovery Center Affiliate Program to launch a Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program in Oklahoma. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition with high distinction from the University of North Alabama and her Masters of Science in Nutritional Sciences with honors from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
In addition to working in a private practice setting, Lisa taught nutrition for eight years at local colleges in the Oklahoma City area. Lisa is passionate about volunteering her time to the community and advocating for those with eating disorders. In 2008, she co-founded the state-wide advocacy non-profit organization, the Oklahoma Eating Disorders Association and served on the board for nine years and received the prestigious Bermudez Award in 2013 for her work with the organization. She currently serves on the board for the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as Treasurer.
